The Carbon Challenge is now part of Team Energy, so we've updated the prize draw Terms and Conditions below to refer to Team Energy. Don't worry, nothing else has changed, and if you entered this prize draw by signing up to Carbon Challenge in accordance with the Terms and Conditions then you will still be included in the prize draw.

TEAM ENERGY PRIZE DRAW - Olympic Gymnasts Incentive

  • 1. Entry signifies acceptance of these Rules.
  • 2. Entrants must be resident in the United Kingdom and not employed by EDF Energy or any of its group of companies ("Eligible Participants").
  • 3. One entry is permitted per Eligible Participant.
  • 4. To enter this free prize draw Eligible Participants must sign up to EDF Energy's Team Energy. The methods of signing up to take EDF Energy's Team Energy include: (i) signing up by calling any of EDF Energy's UK call centres, agreeing to join Team Energy and providing all requested information; (ii) signing up through EDF Energy's Team Energy website, www.teamgreenbritain.org; (iii) completing the Team Energy participation card (available from EDF Energy's sales agents and at selected EDF Energy promotional events) and returning this to EDF Energy; and (iv) signing up by post in response to any correspondence sent to the relevant Eligible Participant by EDF Energy which invites that Eligible Participant to join EDF Energy's Team Energy, (in any case a "Sign Up"). Sign Ups must be received by EDF Energy by 17.00 on 31 August 2009 (a "Valid Entry"). For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Participants who have signed up to EDF Energy's Team Energy prior to the date of publication of these rules will be considered to have made a Valid Entry unless they have withdrawn, or withdraw, from EDF Energy's Team Energy prior to 17.00 31 August 2009. EDF Energy may need to pass Eligible Participants' details to selected third parties in order to process entries. By entering this free prize draw you consent to EDF Energy passing your details to such third parties for this purpose.
  • 5. All Valid Entries received will be entered into a prize draw to take place on 4 September 2009, which will be witnessed by an EDF Energy representative. The Winner will be the first Valid Entry drawn.
  • 6. The Prize: the Winner will receive a training session for their child's class with Olympic medal winner Louis Smith and Olympic hopeful Daniel Keating. The prize will take place in the school of the child. The date of the session may be agreed with the winner and Louis Smith and Daniel Keating but shall be no later than 18 January 2010. The length of the training session will be as determined by EDF Energy. The Prize will be forfeited if it is not taken by this date.
  • 7. The Winner will be notified in writing by EDF Energy by 14 September 2009. The Winner must contact EDF Energy, in accordance with the instructions in the notification letter, to claim the Prize by no later than 30 September 2009. If the Winner does not contact EDF Energy by this date then the prize may be forfeited. No claim made after this date will be accepted.
  • 8. The Prize is provided on an "as is" basis. EDF Energy has not assessed the Prize and does not make any undertaking as to its suitability, value, or any other aspect of the Prize whatsoever. EDF Energy will not have any responsibility or liability for any prize other than to provide the Prize subject to these Rules. EDF Energy shall not be obliged to provide any alternative prize in any circumstances. EDF Energy may substitute the prize at its absolute discretion.
  • 9. By entering this free prize draw Eligible Participants agree that EDF Energy shall have no liability or responsibility for providing the Prize in the event of any unavailability of, or injury to, Louis Smith or Daniel Keating, or any other circumstance arising which is outside of EDF Energy's control.
  • 10. The Winner may be required to participate in post-event publicity. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
  • 11. The results of the Competition may be obtained by contacting EDF Energy by post to: Zara Chalcraft, Partnership Marketing Manager, Marketing Communications, EDF Energy, 329 Portland Road, Hove, BN3 5SU.
  • 12. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
  • 13. No responsibility is accepted by EDF Energy for entries or any other correspondence lost, damaged or delayed in transit.
  • 14. EDF Energy reserves the right to disqualify any entry which does not fully comply with these Rules.
  • 15. EDF Energy may cancel all or any part of this promotion at any time without notice or liability.
  • 16. This promotion will be administered by EDF Energy (the "Judge"). Its decision in respect of any aspect of this prize draw shall be final. No correspondence regarding this free prize draw will be entered into.
  • 17. Please do not enter this prize draw if any of these provisions are unacceptable.
