Climate Balance allows you to help offset the impact of the CO2
emissions connected with the supply of energy to your home. You pay a little extra
on each kilowatt of power you use and this goes towards funding energy efficiency
and reforestation projects around the world.

The Green Tariff was introduced so customers could help the environment
in two different ways.
By supporting renewable energy - this is because we agree to purchase an amount
of energy from renewable sources that is equivalent to the amount of energy you
use.
By contributing to the Green Fund - this fund provides community and education based
organisations in the UK with funding to cover the installation of renewable energy
sources. This helps cut emissions and reduces the demand for energy from the National
Grid.
Green Tariff customers currently pay an extra 0.42 pence per unit which works out
at just £13.86 per year for a typical customer.
